Googled
Google forced my hand today and I had to migrate over to their new blogger account.
Sorry about the inconvenience. To post now you will have to log in with Google account. It is a fairly simple and painless process.

The First Time!
Hey Scottie,
I was asked to be a counselor for the cooking merit badge for our zone's merit badge clinic the past three Saturdays. This was my first opportunity to wear my new Wood Badge scarf, woggle, and beads; boy did I look sharp! I would like to report that all of the young scouts in my classes said things like, "Wow, Mr. Bean (names have been changed to protect the...), that is a cool pink scarf; where did you get it?". Or, hey, Mr. Bean, are those little pieces of wood around your neck for starting a fire in an emergency?" No, they said nothing of the sort. As a matter of fact, they didn't say anything at all. That's o.k., I still was pleased to wear them. Another scout leader came up to me wearing their Wood Badge stuff and it felt good to know that I had earned mine and was a part of the Gilwell fraternity! Keep up the effort to earn your beads.
